Employees share “real world” experience with job seekers
More than 60 YNHH employees shared information about career opportunities at the hospital at a recent job expo at the New Haven Field House, sponsored by the hospital and the city of New Haven. Facilities, Food and Nutrition Services, Plant Engineering, Environmental Services and Patient Services were just some of the departments that provided information on working in the healthcare industry to almost 2,000 New Haven residents. The city of New Haven, Gateway Community College and the U.S. Army were some of the other groups providing information to the job seekers. Perioperative Services staff explained to a job seeker their roles and the training and education needed for them.
